Membership is designed to make preventive and first-opinion care easier to plan and easier to use. Each plan is based on your pet's life stage and includes defined eligible care delivered through your AnimalKind practice.
We show what is included, what is not and when a separate cost may apply. Membership is not insurance; it is a different way to organise everyday veterinary care.
Eligible care is included under your plan. If something falls outside it, we'll explain the next step and available cost information as early as the case allows.
Consultations & Advice
Speak to the team when something does not feel right, without treating every question as a separate discussion about cost.
Vaccinations & Preventive Care
Routine vaccinations, parasite prevention and age-appropriate health reviews help keep everyday care on track.
In-house Diagnostics
Eligible blood work, ultrasound and other in-house investigations may be included when clinically appropriate under the plan.
Dental and Routine Procedures
Defined dental care and routine procedures are included where stated in your pet’s life-stage plan.
Nurse Care and Ongoing Support
Nurse appointments, practical advice and follow-up help you understand what to do after the visit, not only during it.
Access to Advanced Care
Advanced and complex procedures and referral services are discounted at Northwest Referrals as part of your membership plans.

You should feel able to ask about a concern before it becomes a crisis.
Membership reduces some of the cost uncertainty around eligible first-opinion care, while the team provides the clinical judgement about what, if anything, needs to happen next.

If care needs to go further, the pathway is already there
Some cases need expertise or equipment beyond a first-opinion practice. AnimalKind can coordinate referrals to Northwest Referrals, our advanced practitioner-led hospital in Wigan for services including advanced imaging, orthopaedics, neurology and complex surgery.
As member, you get 10% off all cases referred to Northwest Referrals. If you aren't a member, we still offer seamless referral pathways.
We will explain why referral is recommended as early as the clinical situation allows.

A puppy's needs are different from those of a 12-year-old dog. AnimalKind plans change with your pet's life stage while the relationship with the practice continues.

Founding membership, explained clearly.
We are making 200 founding memberships available at each practice.
Founding members receive 20% off the applicable AnimalKind life-stage plan for as long as their membership remains active. When your pet moves into a new life stage, the membership moves to the corresponding plan and the 20% founding-member discount continues to apply.
There is nothing to pay until we open our doors. Register your interest today and we will send the full plan information and terms before asking you to sign up.

FAQs
We're here to make your life easier. Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions.
Can I use AnimalKind without becoming a member?
Yes. AnimalKind will provide pay-as-you-go veterinary services alongside membership. PAYG clients receive care from the same clinical team and pay for the services provided at each visit.
How does membership work?
You pay a monthly fee for the eligible first-opinion services defined in your pet's life-stage plan. The full inclusions, exclusions, waiting periods, commitment terms and fair-use rules will be shown before you join.
What is included? And what is not?
Current plans include defined consultations, preventive care, diagnostics, nurse care, dental treatment and routine procedures. Advanced or complex procedures and referral treatment are discounted for members but accidents and emergencies are not covered in the plans.
Is AnimalKind membership pet insurance?
No. Membership and insurance serve different needs. Membership covers eligible first-opinion care defined in the plan. Insurance may cover accidents, emergencies and treatment outside the plan. Consider your pet's individual needs before changing or cancelling an insurance policy.
When do Chorley and Haydock open?
Both Haydock and Chorley are due to open in November 2026. Register for updates for your preferred location and we will confirm first-appointment information closer to the opening.
What happens if my pet needs referral care?
Where appropriate, we can coordinate referrals to Northwest Referrals in Wigan. Referral treatment is outside the first-opinion membership unless expressly stated otherwise and will usually involve a separate cost.
Is there a minimum commitment or waiting period?
Memberships will be subject to commitment, eligibility and waiting-period rules. We will show the current contract length, waiting periods and cancellation terms clearly before asking you to join. There is no payment or commitment when you register your interest.
